Terms of Service
BOPW (Bag of Paper Work) · Last updated 1 June 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of BOPW (“Bag of Paper Work”, “we”, “us”), the document-ingestion and AI bookkeeping platform for UK accountancy practices. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms.
The service
BOPW lets accountancy practices ingest client documents, extract data from them using AI vision, review and correct that data, and publish records to connected third-party services such as Xero. Features may be added, changed or removed as the product evolves.
Accounts and eligibility
- Accounts are invite-only and intended for UK accountancy practices and their invited clients.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
- You must be authorised to upload and process any client documents and data you submit.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload content you do not have the right to process, or that is unlawful or infringing.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service or other practices' data.
- Use the service to build a competing product or to resell access without our written consent.
- Misuse automated AI extraction in a way that breaches applicable law or third-party terms (e.g. Xero).
AI-extracted data
BOPW uses AI to read documents and suggest structured data. AI output can contain errors. You remain responsible for reviewing, correcting and approving all data before it is published to Xero or relied upon for accounting, tax or filing purposes.
Third-party services
The service integrates with third parties including Xero, Stripe, Resend and AI providers (Google Gemini & Anthropic Claude). Your use of those services is subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or actions.
Subscriptions and billing
- Paid plans are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis until cancelled.
- Fees are stated exclusive of VAT unless otherwise shown, and are non-refundable except where required by law.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription from your account; access continues until the end of the paid period.
Your data and privacy
You retain ownership of the documents and data you submit. We process them to provide the service as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Availability and support
We work hard to keep BOPW available and reliable, but the service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BOPW is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are breached. On termination, your right to use the service ends; data deletion is handled as set out in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above, and continued use of the service constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
